Kokeshi Takasago

Kokeshi couple made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Toa Sekiguchi, depicting the elderly couple, in love and long married, Joo (husband) and Uba (wife) known together as Jotomba in the legend of Takasago, one of the oldest of Japanese mythology.
This pair of kokeshi, a symbol of marital love, bodes well for a long and happy life together.
Measurements: elderly wife 12.5cm x 6cm x 9cm; elderly husband 15cm x 6.5cm x 9.5cm.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
