Kokeshi Otomesode
Kokeshi Otomesode
Kokeshi, in lacquered wood, made and hand painted by the artist Masayoshi Yamagishi. This kokeshi represents a young girl wearing a Furisode, which is a long-sleeved kimono that in the Japanese tradition is worn by unmarried women. The bow on the head and the inclined face highlight its beauty. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). The doll is 16cm tall and has a diameter of 6cm.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
