Kokeshi Momiji
Kokeshi Momiji
Kokeshi made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Oki Izumi, born in 1956 in the prefecture of Gunma, daughter of the great master Sansaku Sekiguchi. Her kokeshi are rare and rich in details, they are pyrograph engraved, and differ from those of other artists for their femininity and accuracy of details (the expression of the face, the clips in the hair, the decoration of the kimono and especially of the obi).
The name of this kokeshi is Momiji which in Japanese means "maple leaves". In fact, on the beautiful kimono and also in the delightful clip that she wears in her hair, autumn maple leaves have been engraved.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
This doll is 15cm tall and 6cm wide.
