Kokeshi Ameagari
Kokeshi made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Masae Fujikawa, who won the "Prime Minister" award in 1996 and 2002 and the "Minister of Agriculture, forestry and Fishery" award in 1995 and 1996.
The term Ameagari means "after the rain". This kokeshi impresses with the bright colors of her kimono and the beautiful flowers that decorate her umbrella.
The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). The kokeshi is 16cm tall and 8cm in diameter. It is accompanied by a small wooden plaque, with his name, the name and the stamp of the craftsman who made it.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
